Village of the Blue Rose

The Village of the Blue Rose is a 501c3 non-profit, non-denominational Christian community where adults with developmental disabilities live, learn and work in a loving family-type environment. Through education, our special adults will develop in spirit, mind and body. The concept of the Village is unique. The primary mission of the organization is to provide a nurturing residential environment and challenging employment opportunities. The means to achieve this is by developing a center of hospitality and welcome, where visitors can relax and enjoy the panoramic view of the Mississippi River, dine in the inviting restaurant, browse in the quaint shops and spend the night in one of our comfortable rooms.

The Village of the Blue Rose accepts no government funding and depends solely on the generosity of philanthropy of the community and entrepreneurial efforts of its own business endeavors.

Our special adults, like blue roses, possess unrivaled beauty.  However, due to their fragile nature, they require a little extra care and encouragement.  We hope that you will come see the beauty of our residents and what can be accomplished with a little bit of love.

Dine in the beautiful rural setting with a breathtaking view of the Mississippi River.  The food is delicious and the surroundings invite you to take your time and enjoy the calm, quiet setting and gentle caring staff.

The 60 acre property is located on scenic Highway 79, five minutes north of Clarksville, and five minutes south of Louisiana.  Our buildings include the Lodge where our restaurant, Bed and Breakfast and small meeting space are located.  The Red Barn Antique and Collectible Shop and Flea Market are right next door.  And our residents' homes, all with a magnificent view of the river, are also located within the compound.  We invite you to visit us at for more information about the village. The web-site includes information about  the Riverview Suite, Magnolia Loft and Southern Exposure which are the Bed and Breakfast room choices we have available if you wish to spend some additional time with us.
