The Cotton Museum

Our mission at the Memphis Cotton Museum is to re-discover the American South and share the dynamic story of the plant that built the city of Memphis with the community and city visitors.

We accomplish this through interpretive exhibits, original films, oral histories, audio tours, artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of “King Cotton” and how the fabric of our lives influenced the cultural fabric of the Mid-South.
