The best kept secret in this quiet, historic town is its' museum. A leisurely track through this little gem lets you peek into life of days gone by. The building houses items of interest, images, and artifacts from the Late Paleoindian era to modern day, enough of which could bring a smile to the face of Indiana Jones.
The museum is always looking to improve, and the newest and most exciting idea is the addition of a Science component. This new project will dove-tail with the existing building, giving Ste. Genevieve a true and viable Museum Learning Center.
The historic 1910 Koetting Building, once a grocery store, will undergo a facelift and remodel enabling the Learning Center to further preserve the history of Ste. Genevieve County. Future generations will then be able to explore and enjoy the famously rich culture of this bucolic community and surrounding areas.
Guy Darrough, master reproductionist of full scale dinosaurs, will bring his expertise to this new endeavor, along with his vast personal collection of artifacts. You can find more about Guy at www.lostworldstudios.com.
