A vegetarian whiskey bar with local produce, from-scratch baked goods, fresh juices in all their drinks, and an amazing brunch menu? Only in Midtown, St. Louis. Like all Baileys’ establishments, Small Batch utilizes whole foods bought in bulk to produce fresh, from-scratch cooking. The chef works with multiple farmers, visiting farmers’ markets weekly throughout the growing season – and unlike the other restaurants, Small Batch has made an even deeper commitment to the environment by keeping a vegetarian kitchen. The result is a menu with a much smaller carbon, chemical, and water-use footprint – with dozens of delicious things to try.
Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes
St. Louis native Dave Bailey began the Baileys’ family of restaurants in 2004 with the opening of his first restaurant, Baileys’ Chocolate Bar, in beautiful and historic Lafayette Square. Everything was done by hand and made from scratch, which is a continuing tradition. Since then, he has added Rooster, Bridge Tap House, Baileys’ Range, The Fifth Wheel @ 4Hands, The Fifth Wheel Catering, and Small Batch, as well the newest location of Rooster on South Grand Blvd.
Baileys’ Restaurants is a St. Louis-centric company, employing more than 320 people and serving more than 500,000 customers each year. Not only are all of the Baileys' restaurants in the City of St. Louis, nearly all of the staff live and work here, furthering the dedication to this great city.
