The Clarksville Santa Land began in 2008 following a devastating spring flood. The Christmas season presented the city with an opportunity to regain hope and look positively toward the future. Thus began a tradition that continues each year. Three rooms in City Hall are transformed into a twinkling fairyland of Christmas cheer. The display features one of the largest collection of Santas, snowmen, carolers, nutcrackers and other holiday characters in the midwest. Millions of twinkling lights throughout the display decorate more than forty trees and nearly 100 animated characters. The attendance has grown each year with attendance topping 1,000 in 2014. For many, a visit to the Clarksville Santa Land has become a family tradition. Call Clarksville City Hall on the Mississippi River to see when Santa will be making an appearance.
