Sans Souci Park

Sans Souci (French for “Without Worry”) is arguably the best Mississippi River overlook in Arkansas. The park’s location allows local residents and tourists the opportunity to sightsee and fish directly on the Mississippi River.

For the outdoorsmen & women, the park offers an Arkansas State Game and Fish Commission boat ramp for fishing access. The park also includes covered several picnic pavilions to enjoy a picnic with near panoramic view of the Mighty Mississippi.

Several historical markers are present highlighting the Civil War gunboat Battle of Plum Run Bend, Mark Twain’s inspiration for Life on the Mississippi, and many more items of historical significance.

Located approximately 5 miles south of Osceola on Hwy 198 just off of Hwy 61.
