Rock Island Grand Prix

The Xtream Rock Island Grand Prix powered by Mediacom is the world's largest professional go kart street race, run through the downtown city streets of Rock Island, Illinois, on the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend one block from the Mississippi River. Free family event that also includes kids activities, nightly outdoor concerts, a car show, vendors and other activities in the heart of Rock Island's Downtown Arts & Entertainment District. Many of motorsports stars started out racing karts and a good number competed at "The Rock" which has attracted competitors from coast to coast and 8 foreign countries.

Free admission around the track. Bring a lawn chair and/or popup. Great tailgating locations too. Daily pit pass is $10. Cover charge to nightly outdoor concerts.

Accessibility Notes

No handicapped-designated parking and due to use of city streets, parking may require walking several blocks to the race course.

Pet Friendly Notes

Pets are welcome as long as they are friendly to others and aren't spooked by noise. The racing is loud.
