Pointe Coupee Parish Mardi Gras Parades

Pointe Coupee Parish hosts four annual Mardi Gras parades across the parish and we are located approximately 35 miles West of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Two parades are hosted in New Roads, LA; Community Center of Pointe Coupee Carnival Association Parade and the New Roads, Lions Club Parade; Traditional style Mardi Gras Parade. This is a more traditional style Mardi Gras Parade; featuring decorated floats, bead and doubloon trowing, marching bands, and king and queen.

The Livonia Carnival Parade host the annual Livonia Mardi Gras Parade in Livonia, LA. This is a more traditional style Mardi Gras Parade; featuring decorated floats, bead and doubloon trowing, marching bands, and king and queen.

The Krewe of Old River host their annual Lundy Gras Parade in Batchelor, LA and festivities include utility vehicles, horses, wagon floats, chase chickens, greased pig contest, communal Gumbo, Live Zydeco Music, & so much more!
