NOSH Restaurant and Bar is located in beautiful Lake City, Minnesota. Situated on the shores of Lake Pepin, dining areas on two levels provide guests with the perfect setting for intimate, quiet dinners or for larger private gatherings, all complete with views of the water.
The western Mediterranean influenced American cuisine focuses on the bounty of the farming community of southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The menu is ultimately determined by the seasonally availability of produce and meats provided by the local farmers. Breads are baked fresh daily on the premises as well as ice creams and sausages. Creating these offerings in-house ensures the freshest possible food is offered daily.
An impressively stocked, full-service bar caters to every palate. Quality affordable wines from around the world are available by the glass or bottle. An extensive martini list offers traditional classic martinis as well as contemporary favorites. Also available are a broad range of non-alcoholic drinks featuring Harney & Sons’ hot teas, locally produced Buddy’s sodas, and coffee roasted in Duluth, MN.
Chef Greg Jaworski brings more than 15 years of food service experience to his Lake City venture, Nosh Restaurant & Bar. Having begun his career in his hometown of Ypsilanti, Michigan at local historical gem Haab’s Restaurant, Greg worked his way from bussing tables to the position of floor manager.
The flame of his gastronomic interest was fanned at Cousin’s Heritage Inn in nearby Dexter, Michigan, where Greg learned the foundations of country French cuisine in addition to the art of serving patrons and professional catering. He began training at the culinary program at Washtenaw Community College, ultimately moving to professional training at the world renowned Le Cordon Bleu at Atlantic Culinary Academy in Dover, New Hampshire.
