We have 11 miles of hiking, biking and walking trails with 12 kilometers of groomed daily cross country ski trails. 4.5 miles of the ski trails are lit and open until 10 p.m. nightly. We have 3 miles of trails for snowshoes and dog walking.
Our new Handicap Accessible Outdoor Fitness Trail is now open. The outdoor fitness trail is a hard surfaced 2 mile trail designed for all ages and abilities for recreation and exercise. The trail consists of 3 fitness loops, the Savannah, Woods and Prairie, that focuses on four essential areas and benefits:
- strength, balance, cardio, flexibility
- accessibility for Seniors, handicapped, families
- 12 exercise stations with exercise equipment
- equipment interacts with your smartphone; iPhone and Android
- download app and track reps, distance, time, calories
The Outdoor Fitness Trail is one of a kind in Minnesota, is open year round and promotes health improvement, social integration and fun fitness in a natural environment for people of all walks of life.
The Visitor Center and all trails in the Arboretum are open to enjoy all four seasons. The Visitor Center includes:
- Art gallery that features local artists
- A unique gift shop with items made locally
- Large meeting and conference rooms
- Public restrooms
Trail Fees: Daily - $5.00 - Adults, $1.00 - Children under 13

Pet Friendly Notes
Pets are welcome on all trails and must be on a leash, except no pets allowed on the groomed cross country ski trails in the winter.
