Celebrating 25 years in 2016, The National Quilt Museum is the largest of its kind in the world. The 27,000-square foot contemporary structure features three galleries highlighting a 320-piece collection of contemporary quilts and ever-changing thematic exhibitions that celebrate the talent by world-class fiber art instructors are offered year-round.
Youth programming includes the annual School Block Challenge and Quilt Camp. The Museum Shop & Book Store offers Kentucky Crafted items and quilt-related instructional and collector books.

$11 adults; $10 seniors & AAA members; $7 students & groups of 10 or more; under 12 $4. Free guided tours available daily
In the exhibit “The Gala of the Unexpected”, some of the quilts consist of layers of plastic or metals. There was not a limit to what could be used to make these quilts, just as long as the above basic structure was adhered to.
Wheelchairs are easily able to access the exhibits and have plenty of space for them to move around.
