Mississippi Harvest statue

Located in Riverside Park along the riverfront, Mississippi Harvest is a 28-foot tall bronze sculpture of a river clammer, which pays tribute to the clamming industry and pearl button history that once thrived in Muscatine.

Muscatine produced 1.5 billion pearl buttons annually 100 years ago and sold them to the New York garment industry and the rest of the world.
