Mammy's cupboard was founded in 1940 and is built in the shape of a mammy archetype, which provides guests with a unique experience. Guests eat inside Mammy's skirt which holds the restaurant and gift shop. The designs were made about the same time a mammy character had just been portrayed in the film Gone with the Wind. Mammy's skirt is made from brick and her earrings are actual horseshoes.
Mammy's is open daily for lunch and serves gourmet sandwiches on home baked bread. Be sure to order a refreshing glass of blueberry lemonade or sweet tea to enjoy with your meal.
With so much wonderful food it's hard, but be sure to leave a little room for Mammy's famous desserts.
Homemade Chocolate ice box pie, banana caramel pie, lemon meringue pie, and several cakes are just a few of the out-of-this-world desserts to try.
Be sure to bring cash or check only.
