The Lumber Baron Inn is a Historic Bed and Breakfast on the National Register of Historic Places, located in Onalaska Wisconsin on the Great River Road Scenic Byway. The Lumber Baron Inn was built in 1888 by C.H. Nichols, who was a prominent lumber baron. The architecture of the inn is Eastlake.
The inn has all of the original wood work including the original shutters, flooring, pocket doors and trim. It also has all of the original gas chandlers, lights, wall sconces, and nine original stained glass windows.
The Lumber Baron Inn sits overlooking scenic Lake Onalaska and the Black River where eagles, pelicans, and bird watching is popular past time.
