I'm a USCG Captain running my 30" sailboat on Lake Pepin out of Pepin, WI.
Lake Pepin, a wide spot on the MIssissippi, is a hidden gem. On the Wisconsin side we call this stretch between Pepin and Bay City the West Coast of Wisconsin.
Of course my answer is sailing! A broader answer is via the water, and there are many options to get out on the lake and experience this part of the Mississippi river.
