Kate's Attic Antiques and Mini Mall, located in downtown Louisiana,Mo. Louisiana is the only town with that name the USA. Kate's is on Georgia Street, in Louisiana, on the Mississippi River, but, it is in Missouri.
Kate's is a locally owned shop that has been around for more than 20 years. It is housed in an 1860 brick and cast iron store front, one of many found in this historic river town. Kate's has press tin and tall ceilings with wide plank wood floors. It retains most of the buildings original charm.
Kate's is a multi-dealer shop, making for a wide and varied selection of new, old, vintage and in-between merchandise. The merchandise changes often - new items arrive daily. You will find things like books, radios, old tools, baskets, china, glass, pottery and even a hot wheel or two! If you are looking for that special piece of furniture, we might just have it. We also feature several re-styled painted pieces and made up, out of old, new designed items.
Kate's is owned and operated by Nancy Evans and she shares the work load with Richard Cottrell. Between the two there is much knowledge about antiques and collectable items. The shop also features seasonal decorative accessories. There is Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Fall, Spring and Red, White and Blue.
The prices are good, being from a small town, we have to be competitive. People come from big cities, other states and all over just to shop at Kate's. Maybe you should make this your next antique shopping destination. Come find some wonderful object that you didn't even know you wanted.
The shop is located at 515 Georgia Street, Louisiana, Mo. Just across the street from the US Post Office.
