Independence Sicilian Heritage Festival

Little Italy, AKA the town of Independence, LA, celebrates its Sicilian heritage each year during the 2nd weekend in March. Street dancing, live entertainment, a parade, arts and craft booths, a spaghetti cook-off, a meatball toss competition, rides, games, a spaghetti eating contest, Italian music, fantastic food, and a cultural museum are part of this 3-day celebration.

The Independence Sicilian Heritage Festival continues to grow and add exciting activities with each passing year. Held in the heart of Downtown Independence along the railroad tracks, the festival is easy to navigate and ample parking is available.
