Historic Natchez Tableaux

Over 300 community volunteers present the story of Natchez, Mississippi, from the sun-worshiping Natchez Indians to the start of the Civil War. Babies and toddlers, teens and grandparents don period costumes four nights each week with singing, dancing and reenactments, accompanied by lively music. The performance has been presented since 1932 as part of the Natchez Spring Pilgrimage tour of historic homes. Created as entertainment for visitors who now arrive from all over the world, the Tableaux is a community tradition.
