Great River Trail

The Great River Trail extends 62 miles from the Quad Cities to Savanna, Illinois. Eleven communities and 3 counties are evenly spaced along the 62 mile recreational path. Each city and village offers an invitation to pause for a moment on the route to explore the remarkable diversity each community represents. There are multiple opportunities to take low traffic roads toward the river for more river viewing and then reconnect to the trail.

Away from Quad Cities and especially between the multiple villages cyclists can be few.

Urban to rural, river, river island, forest, prairie, sand prairie, backwater.

Hard surface other then 1/4 mile. Very mild terrain other then 1.5 mile in bluffs.
