George's is one of Baton Rouge's oldest local eateries. It has been making homemade hamburgers with quality fresh ground meat since the late 1970s. They serve sandwiches on french bread also known as Po' Boys in the Baton Rouge-New Orleans corridor. The servings are generous and they cook each order after it is placed. Customers write their own tickets (order) and pick up their order at the same counter.
George's features daily lunch specials Monday thru Fridays. Oyster, shrimp and catfish p-boys and plates are hard to beat 7 days a week. Georges offers a full bar and some say they have the coldest beer in Baton Rouge.
There are now three George's locations:
2943 Perkins Road
15321 George O'Neal Lane
8905 Highland Road
