This 72 acre park is located just off the Great River Road and Mississippi River Trail in Louisa County, Iowa. The park features a beautiful natural wetland area that is often graced with great egrets, wood ducks and other water birds.
There are two reservable shelters; picnicking facilities; 21 campsites with 20-30-50 amp service; two latrines; Mississippi River Access for boats or canoes and a natural playground.
This area is open year-round but is prone to flooding due to its close proximity to the Mississippi River. Closings are posted on the Louisa County Conservation Facebook page and website. Flooding at the site occurs from seep water and ground water being pushed upward which results in slow drainage after high water events. Call if unsure: 319-523-8381.

This area is mostly mowed grass and gravel roads. There are not any sidewalks making it somewhat difficult to traverse.
