Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes
The Fisher House Bed & Breakfast is a Veteran owned and operated 1880s Queen Anne Victorian home that has been completely remodeled into a lovely B&B. Dan is a 25 year Veteran of the US Air Force who retired in 2010 to embark on his dream of renovating his Queen Anne Victorian into a First Class Bed & Breakfast. Dan and his Wife (Peggy) spent more than 4 years working on the house in order to open it as a B&B. They love to share their love of historical architect and experiences renovating this Victorian beauty with their guests. Iowa Congressman Dave Loebsack recognized the owners on Small Business Saturday, 2014 for their accomplishment of opening the B&B and commitment to running a small business in their community.
Rooms are not handicap accessible as all rooms are on the second floor.
