Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes
Co-owner, Ellen Frye's grandparents, Tom and Ella Eggers lived at Eggers and Company from 1920 through 1959. Ellen's grandfather, Martin "Tom" Eggers and his brother Walt were the store owners from 1920 until 1966. Many original artifacts remain in tribute to the Eggers family, the town of Farrar and rural America in those decades
The General Store and gift shop are wheelchair accessible. Due to the historical nature of the building, we regret that the sleeping rooms are not handicapped accessible.
