Sample Itinerary of Experience

Any day is a good day to tour the Mississippi Delta. Rain. Shine. Hot. Cold. Doesn't matter. The terrain will seep into your bones as you listen to Poor William tell you his stories. Let yourself experience something you could never discover on your own.

We have given tours to many visitors drawn here by Clarksdale Tourism. Those desiring a deeper intimacy with and mindfulness of the "Most Southern Place on Earth" and the regional identity informing it, will surely enjoy several hours trekking with an eclectic Dude, acutely familiar with the historical, socio-economic, educational, agricultural and racial nuances associated with Mississippi Delta culture and living--past and present.

Our central focus is to acclimate and inform inquisitive and open-minded area guests as to why the Mississippi Delta matters and why it is worth understanding. This ain't Disney; it's more like Galapagos.

Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes

Billy and Madge Howell, founders of The Delta Bohemian®, began giving custom DB Tours in 2014.

In May of 2016, the couple purchased a new red Jeep Wrangler with working air conditioner! Billy's first Jeep had no ac and passengers still loved the experience.
