Located where the rolling terrain of the West Gulf Coastal Plain and the alluvial lands of east Arkansas's Mississippi Delta meet, this park offers you the opportunity to explore two of Arkansas's distinct natural settings in one visit. Hike or bike the park's 2,171 acres of woodlands in the Coastal Plain. Paddle or fish on 1,675-acre Cane Creek Lake, a timbered Delta lake, and experience the natural beauty and abundant wildlife that inhabit Arkansas's Mississippi Delta. Just across the timber-filled lake, anglers and paddlers can also explore Bayou Bartholomew, the world's longest bayou.
Located in a beautiful, wooded area near the lake are twenty-nine campsites equipped with electrical hookups, water, table, grill, and lantern hanger at each site, plus a modern bathhouse nearby. This first class campground offers a pleasant camping experience year-round. A sanitary dump station is located near the park entrance.
This 30-foot, air-conditioned RV sleeps six comfortably. Permanently set up on a park campsite, its deck offers a view of the surrounding woods. The RV rental includes kitchen appliances, a microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots and pans, and eight place settings of dishes and flatware. The RV is also equipped with a TV, VCR and DVD/CD player. Those renting this RV need to bring all their own bed and bath linens, and food.
The park visitor center is the first stop for campers wishing to register for a campsite. The visitor center contains the park offices and includes a gift area and exhibits. Exhibits feature the diversity of plants, wildlife and cultural history represented in the two different and distinct natural divisions that encompass Cane Creek State Park and Cane Creek Lake.
The park offers live bait and an assortment of fishing supplies
Overlooking the lake, the park’s picnic area offers all the conveniences of tables, grills, water and nearby rest rooms.
Adjacent to the picnic area and group pavilion are a barrier-free playground and fishing pier. A horseshoe pit and sand volleyball court are also located in this area.
One screened and one enclosed climate-controlled pavilion are available for rent for group outings or reunions. The climate controlled pavilion is in the picnic area next to the playground. The other is near to the boat launch. The pavilions must be reserved before being used (deposit and fee required).
