The unique history of Breaux Bridge formally began when a woman, Scholastique Breaux, founded our wonderful city at the age of 33 in 1829. Today, the small city offers a quaint and charming downtown district filled with antique shops, unique boutiques, art galleries, bed and breakfasts, and taste-tempting restaurants and cafes. Conveniently located within the space of a few blocks, Breaux Bridge is perfect for strolling through town at a leisurely pace.
