Belmont Plantation, Est 1857 is the last antebellum mansion along the river in the Mississippi Delta, standing at over 9,000 square feet. It was constructed between 1855 and 1861, however the family moved into the mansion circa 1857.  The house and the grounds are currently undergoing an extensive restoration but are already available for weddings, events, tours, lodging, and luxury sportsmen excursions!​

Belmont Plantation is owned by interior designer, builder, and historic preservationist Mr Joshua Cain and his family.   Joshua is a son of the South (a distant cousin of Governor Dennis Murphree who saved Belmont during the depression); born in Brandon Mississippi, and is an ardent supporter of Mississippi historic places. He has a long family history in the state going all the way back to its origination, both in the Delta and the Hill Country.
