Come to Clarksville's for the 38th annual Applefest. This festival  celebrates a delicious time when apple orchards covered the landscape surrounding Clarksville, MO, and apples were shipped from the Clarksville Apple Shed to all parts of the country. Held annually the second weekend in October, the Applefest celebrates Clarksville's historic connection to apples and the Mississippi River!

A parade kicks off the event on Saturday morning. If you look closely you might see Johnny Appleseed. Apples and fresh no preservatives added apple cider are for sale. Crafters from the surrounding area share their talents and offer their crafts for sale. A juried art show, apple anything baking contest, quilting demonstrations, fiddlers' contest, baby contest, queen competition and raffle are all a part of the festivities held in and around the Apple Shed. Food vendors offer everything from kebobs to hamburgers, fish bar-b-que, kettle corn and more. All of Clarksville's antique and artists' shops are open for your enjoyment.

The Applefest runs from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday and from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday.
