Apple Valley Hillbilly Garden and Toyland

On November 6, 1928, a man known as Grandpa Oral Wallace bought an apple orchard and a two room house on six acres in Kentucky. He started making apple cider and selling it at his new produce stand called "Shady Nock."

Now, Grandpa Oral Wallace's relatives have transformed the apple orchard and Shady Nock into the Apple Valley Hillbilly Garden and Toyland - an unusual off-beat historic folk art roadside attraction with operating toy museum!

Highlights include: a diner, a toy museum, quirky folk art, and the Gulf gas station museum.
