Allen’s Kayaking Adventures provides guided kayak and canoe tours on the Mississippi and Wolf Rivers. Certified local guides lead groups in tours departing from Memphis, TN. Participants paddle the river and explore the scenic vistas north or south of Memphis to various drop points along the Mississippi. Wolf River tours will take a water route to explore hidden inlets and wildlife in the ecosystem just north of the city. During the tours, guides highlight the natural environment, point out historic features, and identify cultural landmarks along the Memphis skyline. Tours can last for a few hours or up to three weeks. Excursions can even include overnight camping on a sand bar featuring a meal by firelight. Tours can be customized to include local area history and fun facts. Enjoy the opportunity to leave civilization behind, sleep under the stars and commune with the river.
**All day tours and overnights camping excursions include food and beverage selections that can range from basic snacks to gourmet meals using fresh farm grown products and locally produced wines and beers.

Groups can gather at our downtown office, at the desired put-in location, or we can pick you up from your home, hotel, or campground.
Our rivers and waterways are our most valuable natural resource. It is all of our responsibility to preserve, protect, and keep them clean. Therefore, we practice "Leave No Trace Behind." We also support and participate in neighborhood and river trash clean-ups along the Mississippi and Wolf Rivers. Our experienced guides can also provide natural history and eco-tours of the local area.
Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes
Isaiah Allen is an avid outdoorsman and kayaker. He started his kayaking business in the Maryland, DC and Virginia area. After being transferred to Memphis, TN in 2014, Mr. Allen realized a need to being awareness to the value and importance of the Mississippi to local Memphis residents and visitors alike, He started providing kayak tours downtown on the Mississippi River in order to reconnect Memphis native and tourists with the river, the city's greatest natural asset. With his office within three blocks of the river, Mr. Allen can be found on most days either paddling one of the two rivers or just sitting on its banks taking in the view.
We are limited in our ability to provide tours for mentally and physically disabled paddlers. Please contact us to discuss any special needs!
