Land and Records Office

The Land and Records Office in Nauvoo is not a government office but a repository of information about residents of Old Nauvoo from 1839-1846. The structure was once the home of Newel K. Whitney, a shopkeeper and businessman.

Here you can see maps of Old Nauvoo.  If you had ancestors who lived in Nauvoo, you can also find out where they lived and learn more details about their family, their community involvement, and other aspects of their lives.
