Circa'21 Dinner Playhouse

Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse is one of the nations premiere dinner theatres, serving up top Broadway musicals and comedies. The majority of the actors who appear on the Circa ’21 stage are hired from New York and other professional auditions across the country. Many of the musicals performed at Circa ’21 have also toured theatres across the United States.

In addition, Circa ’21 is known for presenting world class concerts! Stars such as Tony Bennett, Phyllis Diller, Pat Boone, The Lettermen, The Smothers Brothers and Marie Osmond have graced the Circa ’21 stage over the years.

Circa ’21 is housed in the historic Fort Armstrong Theatre. Built in 1921, the theatre was originally a vaudeville and silent movie house. After extensive remodeling, Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse opened in June of 1977. The interior of the theatre now has Las Vegas styled seating for 334 guests on the main floor. In 1980, following the opening of Circa ’21, the Fort Armstrong Theatre was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

A trip to Circa ’21 isn’t complete without our chef preparing an unforgettable meal! Our evening buffet offers five tantalizing entrees, an assortment of fresh vegetables and other delicious items. For our matinee performances, our chef prepares your choice of three entrees, served right at your table! We also offer a number of gourmet desserts that are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!

We are also well known for our performing wait staff, The Bootleggers. This talented group of waiters not only serve your coffee, but they entertain you as well. Before every show, The Bootleggers perform an exciting 15 minute musical revue. Circa ’21 is one of the very few dinner theatres in the country that offers a pre-show as part of the complete package.

Circa ’21 is in the Illinois/Iowa Quad Cities and offers easy access for motorcoaches. We are located just minutes from Interstates 74 and 80. Coaches are able to pull right up to our front door. Great entertainment in this beautiful, historic, vaudeville era theater. Nice buffet too. Have seen many performances at this theater.
