We have 14 authentic cabins located in the Heart of Cajun Country along Historic Bayou Teche in Breaux Bridge, LA. Each cabin has its own personality from the Cajun Cabin and Bayou Palace to the Bayou Museum and many more.
The cabins were moved onto the property from St. Martin Parish. A full southern breakfast is served in an 1869 home setting on the same property. A Cajun Platter is one of the choices for breakfast which includes Pork Boudin (Cajun sausage with rice, pork, liver, green onions and spices) Cracklins (homemade uncured bacon) Hog head cheese (pork Patate') with scrambled eggs and toast.
We've hosted special guests such as Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Jr., Mike Rowe with Dirty Jobs, and Hunter Hayes to name a few. The Cafe was established in 1987 and just celebrated our 25th anniversary. Our motto is "A stranger is merely a friend we have not yet met".
Bayou Cabins were also featured in the "2009 Stay list - 129 Places We Love" in the National Geographic Traveler as one of the Top 5 places to stay in the USA, Mexico, Carribean and Canada. We are also in the Lonely Planet and Rough Guide which is printed in over 30 countries. Bayou Cabins have served world travelers and we have many repeat customers.
